How Does Downshifting Rate the Condition of the Vintage Clothing It Sells?
Near Mint = Like new, no noted issues
Excellent = Shows little if any wear, with no noted issues
Very Good = Shows minor wear, with few if any noted issues
Good = Shows average wear, noted issues, wearable
Fair = Shows noticeable wear, still wearable but numerous issues noted
Poor = As is, best for use as a costume or study
Will I Have to Pay Any Additional Custom, Duties, Or Taxes When Ordering from the USA? Europe?
You do not have to pay any additional taxes, duties, or fees as long as your total order is for less than $800 USD. If you want to place an order over that item total, please contact us so that we can limit or eliminate any extra taxes that might otherwise apply. DownShifting is located in the European Union (Hungary), and so you pay nothing extra to receive your package if you are within the European Union; otherwise, your country's usual VAT threshold and fee will apply.

How Long Does It Take to Ship My Order?
Because all items are currently in inventory and ready to ship, most orders ship within one business day (and many often on the same day as the order). If there is any issue that may delay shipment, DownShifting will notify you within 24 hours of your order placement.
How Long Does It Take for My Order to Arrive?
Shipping times vary depending on your exact location, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns before ordering. DownShifting’s standard shipping is via Registered Priority Express from Budapest, Hungary, and most orders are delivered within the following timeframes:
United States: 5 to 10 business days (1 to 2 weeks)
Australia: 5 to 10 business days (1 to 2 weeks)
Canada: 5 to 10 business days (1 to 2 weeks)
Europe & UK: 3 to 5 business days (1 week)
Russia: 3 to 5 business days (1 week)
Japan: 3 to 5 business days (1 week)
South America & Africa: 10 to 20 (2 to 4 weeks)
Upgraded shipping is possible if you have a deadline. If that is the case, please contact us before ordering.
Is a Signature Required Upon Delivery?
DownShifting marks all shipments as No Signature Required, but in some countries it is up to the discretion of the carriers as to whether they will leave an item without requiring a signature.
Many of our clients have had success in contacting the shipping company directly to request the package be left without a signature, once they have the tracking number - so keep an eye on your email! Your tracking number will be sent to you there, when your order ships.
What If My Order Is Not Delivered in the Estimated Arrival Time?
Shipping times vary depending on exact delivery location, and so cannot be guaranteed. However, if you contact us directly, we will look further into it for you to try to determine any cause for a delay. If you have not received your package within three weeks after ordering, please check immediately with your local post office. They will likely be holding it for you after an unsuccessful delivery attempt. Many times carriers either fail to leave a delivery attempt / pickup notice or it is overlooked in other mail. Post offices generally hold items for only two weeks before they are returned to sender.
